1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Scholagora platform ("Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Platform.

Scholagora is operated by GeeTL ("we", "us", "our"), registered in Kenya.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account. By registering, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

If you are signing up on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

3. Account Responsibilities

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent job listings or profiles.
• Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users.
• Use the Platform for any illegal purpose or in violation of Kenyan law.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts or Platform systems.
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Platform without our permission.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of the content you post on Scholagora (profiles, CVs, listings, messages). By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, distribute, and promote your content within the Platform for the purpose of operating the service.

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable.

6. Premium Subscriptions & Payments

• Premium plans are billed weekly or monthly as selected at the time of purchase.
• All payments are processed securely through Paystack.
• Premium benefits are activated immediately upon successful payment.
• Subscriptions do not auto-renew. When your plan expires, your account reverts to the free tier.
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us at info@scholagora.com for refund requests.

7. Intellectual Property

The Scholagora name, logo, design, and all platform-generated content (excluding user content) are the intellectual property of GeeTL. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our branding or platform design without our written consent.

8. Limitation of Liability

Scholagora is a platform that connects students with employers and opportunities. We do not guarantee employment, the accuracy of listings, or the behaviour of other users.

To the maximum extent permitted by Kenyan law, GeeTL shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting our support team. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or a prominent notice on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kenya.
